About
Established in May of 1996 by sisters Edalmira "Bebe" Hernandez and Geisha Cruz, Grupo de Batuteras Brisas Del Caribe began with a total of 28 girls ranging between the ages of 5-16. By 1998 Grupo de Baile Brisas Del Caribe (now a dance group not baton group) was recognized as the FIRST Girls Scouts Dance Troop in the nation with 37 dancers ranging in ages 5-18. Lead in performances by Edalmira (Director), Denise Maldonado (Captain), and Diana Sanchez (Co-Captain), Brisas Del Caribe performed in various local and neighboring state parades including placing 3rd place in 1997 and 2nd place in 1998 at the Annual Philadelphia Puerto Rican Parade, placing 1st in the Annual Trenton Puerto Rican Parade three consecutive years, Honorably mentioned at the Annual Six Flags National Dance Competition, and various recognitions within the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area.
Due to dynamic changes occurring within the organization we took a little "break" from 2004-2008 until late summer of 2008 we re-introduced ourselves to society as Huellas Latinas Dance Group with 17 ladies ranging in ages 8-14. Through the hard work of volunteers and the community the organization participated in the celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Ellis Island, New York, the FIRST ever Multicultural Parade within Willingboro, New Jersey and once again recognized or placing in the top three in dance competitions at various parades and events within New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and

Maryland. Due to personal illnesses of the director, Edalmira Hernandez, the organization once again had to take a "break" until NOW! In November of 2013 with the assistance of previous dancers (Yolanda Arroyo, Kimberly Martinez, Migdalia Wright, and Iris Santana), we are entering the stages of finalization for the permanent establishment of Latin Fusion Dance Group! Bringing to you a taste of tradition, culture, dance, and energy of ALL OF LATINO AMERICA, Latin Fusion Dance Group aims to create positive young leaders in addition to intelligent, strong young ladies within our community! Currently with 15 enrolled ladies ranging in ages 5-13 we proudly present our Fall 2014 (The Dueces) and our Spring 2015 Line (The Full Deck). Join us as we celebrate our 19th Anniversary as we educate and enjoy the beats of reggeaton, rhythms of merengue, swings of bachata, and taps of salsa in our upcoming events, fundraisers and performances!
